City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for Jan 11-17, 2011

Larceny – Theft from Building, 802 S Washington St (Yat Herb’s Auto Repair), between 5:30 PM on January 10 and 8:39 AM, January 11, five car batteries were stolen from a rear shed.

Larceny – Theft from Building, 105 West Broad St #3B (Knowlogy), between 8:30 PM January 10 and 6:30 AM, January 11, unknown suspect(s) took two 52″ HDTVs.

Smoking in a Non-Designated Area, 6757 Wilson Blvd #16 (Cafe Le Mirage), Jan 12, 1:04 AM, a male, 49, of Falls Church was arrested for Smoking in a Non-Designated Area. The manager, a male 35, of Springfield was issued a citation for permitting said smoking.

Larceny – Theft from Building, 120 N Virginia Ave (Mary Riley Styles Public Library), sometime between 1:15 PM and 4:30 PM on Jan 11, unknown suspect(s) entered an unsecured computer room and stole a CPU.

Larceny – Theft from Vehicle, 1100 blk W Broad St (Staples Parking Lot), sometime between 6:15PM and 6:45 PM on Jan 12, unknown suspect(s) took an IPod Touch and case from an unsecured vehicle.

Graffiti/Damage to Property, 400 S Maple Street, Jan 13, 00:32 AM, officer discovered graffiti on a “STOP” sign. The lettering had been sprayed with blue paint and there was illegible white lettering beneath.

Graffiti/Damage to Property, 400 S Maple Street (Tax Analysts), Jan 13, 8:30 AM, extensive graffiti damage (blue and purple paint) was found throughout a parking garage.

Graffiti/Damage to Property, 400 S Maple Street (Tax Analysts), Jan 13, 3:33 PM, a vehicle parked in the garage referenced above was damaged by graffiti painted on its spoiler and right side in purple and white paint.

Driving Under the Influence, 500 blk Roosevelt Blvd, Jan 15, 2:00 AM, a male, 43, of Gaithersburg was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal.

Drunk in Public, 132 W. Broad St (The Dogwood Tavern), Jan 17, 1:16 AM, a male, 48, of Washington, DC was arrested for being Drunk in Public.

Larceny-Shoplifting, 201 S Washington St (7-11), Jan 17, 3:15 AM, two unknown suspects grabbed two bottles of wine and fled in a red vehicle.
