F.C. Man Succumbs to Injuries from Crash

An 82-year-old Falls Church man who was injured when the bicycle he was riding was hit by a truck on Wednesday, November 24 at 11:30 a.m. succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, December 9.

Minh Van, of 3322 Nevius Street in Falls Church was on his bicycle, crossing Wilston Boulevard near Arlington Boulevard. A man driving a 2003 Dodge pickup truck was exiting onto Wilston Boulevard from Arlington Boulevard and struck Van. The victim was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors. Crash Reconstruction Detectives will determine if charges are appropriate.
