Belonging to the Toy Group, the Pug was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1885. One of the oldest breeds of dog, many believe that the Pug is of Chinese origin. Pugs are a small breed, but muscular, weighting between 14 and 18 pounds. Companion dogs are their major function. When Prince William II became the King of England, he owned Pugs. Due to the royal endorsement, the Pug became the fashionable breed for generations. It looks like Dylan should be right at home surrounded by gold and jewels.
