Susan and husband, Rotarian Ted Hussar, are hosting a Falls Church High School Brazilian exchange student, Joao Vitor Melo Riberio da Silva, for the school year.

Participation in the exchange student program is part of Rotary International’s New Generations program. Susan explained the reciprocal hosting program whereby a family in a foreign country hosts one American high school student at the same time as a foreign high school student is hosted by a U.S. family.

The Hussars have hosted 12 exchange students over the years, thus enabling 12 American high school students to study in foreign countries. Ted is currently president of the Annandale Rotary Club.
