Since its grand opening in November 1947, patriotism has been an important component of JV’s Restaurant in Falls Church. Brothers Louis and George Dross, Greek resistance fighters during WWII, opened JV’s Restaurant and have celebrated America’s armed forces for the past six decades. Now George Dross’ daughter, Lorraine Campbell, the current owner/manger of the restaurant, pays tribute to service women and men every day.
Throughout this month, JV’s will celebrate its anniversary with musicians who have come to know the legendary mystique of playing at this historical Northern Virginia venue.
On Saturday, Nov. 20, from 5 – 8 p.m., The New Dominion Band will take the stage at JV’s. A fitting four-fifths of The New Dominion Band have served in the United States Armed Services before picking up a guitar to entertain.
To help celebrate Saturday, the band will travel down a bit of JV’s musicology, in a presentation titled By The Decades.
JV’s Restaurant is located at 6666 Arlington Blvd., Falls Church.
