F.C. Resident Wins 2nd at Quilt Expo

Jill Amos Gibbons, a resident of Falls Church, won second place in the Hand Quilted Bed Size-Pieced category in the Quilt Expo quilt contest for her quilt titled “Starburst.”

The 10-category quilt contest, held last week in Madison, Wis., at the sixth-annual Quilt Expo, contained 300 quilts that were juried into the contest and judged on the basis of visual impact and stitching technique.
