Fairfax Fire & Rescue, Tysons Rotary Help Kids

The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, with a little help from the Rotary Club of Tysons Corner (RCTC), has completed two major projects to help needy kids and wounded military personnel. Earlier this month, the department conducted its annual School Backpack Drive at Penn Daw Fire Station 11 in Alexandria, where firefighters and other community volunteers, including several TCRC members, stuffed more than 1,000 backpacks with school supplies. The RCTC Foundation also made a donation of $800.
