watermainbreakwebFollowing the report of a water main break at 2:30 a.m. last night, crews for the Falls Church Water System restored water service to all but 50 customers after two hours, according to a release from the City this morning. When a 24-inch water main break occurred near the intersection of Kirby Road and Sugarstone Court, residents and businesses in the area were without water or had low water pressure, and the low pressure situation continued for some in the morning. The cause of the break in the 60-year old cast iron pipe has yet to be determined, but it was expected to be fully repaired later today.
