September’s FIRSTfriday Lights Up Falls Church

This month’s FIRSTfriday of Falls Church events will take place tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 3, with art events kicking off at 5 p.m. at Stifel & Capra (260 W. Broad St., Falls Church). There, those interested can meet featured artist, oil painter Kathie Rogers, as the shop celebrates the kiddies returning to school with snacks, resident artists and conversation.

ArtALot kicks off in the Art and Frame of Falls Church (111 Park Ave., Falls Church) parking lot at 6 p.m. with Cruise-In Friday’s classic cars, musical performances by Doug Parks and the Lone Wolves, doggie yappie hour and more. Exhibitors at ArtALot include Denise Philipbar, Michael Snell, Hazel Brutsche, Carolyn Nau, David Nau, James Oglethorpe, Mary Benzinger, Bev Rocco, Justine Spilman, Nan Stringer and others.

Red, White & Bleu (127 S. Washington St., Falls Church) will be offering themed beer tastings with free admission from 5 – 8 p.m., while Dogwood Tavern (132 W. Broad St., Falls Church) hosts the FIRSTfriday after party from 8 p.m. until closing.
