Pouring 13 specialty drinks, eight on-tap brews and six wines at its full bar, Clare and Don’s Beach Shack is where 9-to-5ers flock after work for happy hour in Falls Church.

“We embody a relaxed environment where people can let their hectic lives slip away, if only for a little while,” said co-owner Rebecca Tax.

The shack’s best-selling elixir is its margarita. Made frozen or on the rocks, these tequila-laced gems will run patrons $4 during happy hour.

Other deals include $2.50 Miller Lite drafts, $4 rail drinks and half-price appetizers, excluding seafood.

One of Clare and Don’s most recent drink menu additions is the Pain Killer, a mixture of orange juice, coconut milk, rums and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Tax said it’s already soared in popularity, alongside staples like the Beach Shack’s Mai Tai, Primo Margarita and the Flying Arnold Palmer – made with Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka and fresh-squeezed lemonade.

Lauding Clare and Don’s customers, Tax said they – along with the great atmosphere and her professional staff – are what makes Happy Hour at the Beach Shack so darn happy.
