After a tough loss to Vienna American, the Falls Church Kiwanis Little League 10-11 All-Star team bounced back with a thrilling victory over McLean American last Sunday, July 11.

Casey Lauer’s clutch walk-off single in extra innings capped the tense battle, as Falls Church prevailed 5 – 4. Jake Abruzzi and Zach Lang turned in outstanding performances on the mound, aided by the strong defensive play of Jacob Plata.

Falls Church’s offense featured aggressive base running and timely hitting by Joe Andres, Jacob Plata, Nick Lillis, Mounir Laassilli and Casey Lauer.

The team concluded its All-Star season with a 1-2 record.
