McLean H.S. Students Earn National Merit Scholarships

Charles Tenney of McLean High School (MHS) was awarded a National Merit Virginia Tech scholarship to study engineering.

Charles Tenney of McLean High School (MHS) was awarded a National Merit Virginia Tech scholarship to study engineering. Fifi Wang of MHS was awarded a National Merit University of Alabama scholarship to study law. National Merit scholarships provide between $500 and $2,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate study at the financing university.

Tenney and Wang were two of only 19 students in Fairfax County and about 3,200 nationwide to be awarded the scholarships.
