F.C. Offers Household Hazardous Waste Collection

It was announced this week that Falls Church City will be hosting the next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, July 24.

It was announced this week that Falls Church City will be hosting the next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, July 24. Residents can dispose of household hazardous waste by bringing it to the Recycling Center and Property Yard (217 Gordon Rd., Falls Church). Residents can dispose their waste between 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Household hazardous waste refers to used contents of consumer products that contain hazardous materials with one of the four characteristics of hazardous waste. These characteristics include toxic, ignitable, corrosive or reactive. Some wastes that may have these characteristics are cleaners, automotive fluids and pesticides.
