A public vigil has been planned tonight to remember Vanessa Pham, the 19-year-old Falls Church woman found dead Sunday in a car in a ditch on Rt. 50. Police announced Monday Pham’s death was being investigated as a homicide once the autopsy was completed.

“The autopsy confirmed that the injuries she had were completely inconsistent with the mechanisms of the accident,” said Fairfax County spokesperon Bud Walker.

A candlelight gathering will take place Tuesday, June 29 from 8:30 – 10 p.m. at James Madison High School in Vienna for friends and family to mourn. A Facebook page made for her memorial fund has already racked up more than 1,100 members.
