F.C. Police Officers Recognized for Alcohol Enforcement

freedhendersonawardTwo Falls Church City Police officers received Awards for Excellence in Community Service and Public Safety from Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program on May 7. Master Police Officer Alan Freed was recognized for the 30 Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) arrests he made in 2009; and Officer Rachel Henderson received the award for making 17 DWI arrests and 38 other arrests related to alcohol offenses. This was MPO Freed’s 10th year receiving this award. Last year, City Police officers made 90 DWI arrests.
