Work Continues on 20″ Water Main Break in Tysons

Repair work on a water main break in the Tysons Corner area from early this morning is continuing, Falls Church officials reported this afternoon.

A Virginia Department of Transportation contractor working on the Capital Beltway Hot Lanes project hit and broke a 20″ concrete Falls Church water system water main on Chain Bridge Road at Tysons Blvd early Monday morning. The break in the pipe has been valved off and full water service is expected to be restored  later today. Water pressure remains low but all customers should have water. Road repairs, the responsibility of VDOT, are not expected to be completed until later this evening.
