F.C. Schools Closed Thursday

City Government, Library, Community Center Closed Today

With a blizzard warning in effect all day today, Falls Church City Schools announced that schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 11. All day care and after school programs, and evening activities are also cancelled

In addition, today, Wednesday, Feb. 10, schools, F.C. Government, Community Center and Mary Riley Styles Library are all closed.

City officials report crews are working to keep snow emergency routes passable; residential street clearing will not begin until snow stops falling.

The City also advises residents to keep one light on in front of house so police know you have power. Power outages should be reported Dominion Virginia Power at 1-888-667-3000.

High winds may cause trees to fall. If a tree falls on your house, evacuate and call 911.

To report downed trees on streets or government buildings or schools, call 703-241-5050.
