F.C. Councilman Baroukh Introduces Call for Council to Endorse Citizen-Initiated Referendum On Date of Elections in Falls Church

The agenda for Monday’s Falls Church City Council meeting, posted by City Hall today, includes a draft resolution introduced by Councilman Nader Baroukh that, if approved by the Council, would endorse a citizen petition drive to place a referendum on the November 2010 ballot concerning whether or not to shift the date of the City’s biennial municipal elections from May to November.

The item will follow Council consideration of two items for final approval, both given preliminary approval last month, one that would shift the date of the local elections from May to November in 2011, and the other beginning in 2013.
