Jody’s Jam of the Week: August 27 – September 2, 2009

It’s not like we haven’t given enough press to the City of Falls Church’s Farmer’s Market over the years, and justifiably so -it’s a wonderful event- but there’s always room for more publicity.

This Saturday, the market is kicking it up a notch by introducing the Farmer’s Market Chef Program. The program, to be a new monthly occurrence, will feature chefs from local restaurants demonstrating their cooking, using local ingredients, along with tastings of their dishes. This Saturday, Argia’s Amiee Suyehiro will be the featured chef, while future months will see Leland Atkinson from Sinplicity Catering (September 19) and Tracey O’Grady from Willow Restaurant (October 3). If you can’t make it out to the market to catch the demos, they will be available for online viewing at www.Facebook.com/FallsChurchFarmersMarketChef.
