Creative Cauldron & FCA Partner to Raise Funds
Creative Cauldron and Falls Church Arts (FCA) are partnering to host various dinner parties/artist salons throughout the greater Falls Church area on Saturday, March 21. 
The evening aims to raise funds for the 1,001 Nights Capital Campaign, which will support the groups and their artists in their new Pearson Square home. The parties include dinner and beverages for guests, along with an “artist in residence” to showcase the artist’s techniques and work.
Visual and performing artists will provide short programs during each party. Tickets are $50 per guest. As space is limited at the locations, guests are asked to RSVP by this Friday, March 13, by calling Gina Caceci at 703-593-5697. F.C. Library Hosts Senior Book Discussion
The Mary Riley Stiles Public Library’s (120 N. Virginia Ave., Falls Church) monthly senior book discussion will cover Eric Weiner’s account on a person’s happiness based on where they live in “The Geography of Bliss.” Weiner worked as a National Public Radio correspondent for many years. Master Storyteller Performs At F.C. Library
Master storyteller Diane Macklin performs Animal Tail Tales at Mary Riley Styles Public Library (120 N. Virginia Ave., Falls Church) at 7 p.m. on March 18. Macklin performs in the African “griotic” tradition, telling world folktales and personal narratives with music, song and dance. Shelter House Holds Annual Fundraising Event
Shelter House hosts their sixth annual Casino Night and Silent Auction at the Grand Atrium (3326 Gallows Rd., Vienna) from 7:30 – 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. This event will help raise funds in order to keep their services running for homeless families in Fairfax County. Guests can enjoy casino games, raffles and more activities. Saint Patrick’s Day Celebrations Come to Town
Victorian reenactors will provide an evening of Irish literary performances at the Cherry Hill Farmhouse (312 Park Ave., Falls Church) at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 13. Each performance will feature works from Irish authors including Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw and W.B. Yeats. There is a $4 general admission fee, and reservations are required. Dulin United Hosts Spring Tour Chorale Concert

Hip Hop Scholar Speaks at Arlington Central Library
The Arlington Central Library (1015 North Quincy St., Arlington) will feature hip hop scholar Adam Bradley from 7 – 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17. Children’s Author Visits Festival at McLean Center
The 9th Annual McLean Storybook Festival will take place from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the McLean Community Center (1234 Ingleside Ave., McLean).
