Commuters interested in biking to work will be interested in Wheel 2 Work on the W&OD Trail taking place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. The free event will be held at the Town of Herndon Square on Elden Street, in front of Old Town Hall off the W&OD Trail. The Herndon Police Department, the Fairfax Department of Transportation, the Herndon Parks and Recreation department and area bike shops will distribute maps, give commuting cyclists the opportunity to learn their quickest and safest route to work and include presentations on riding safely, proper equipment fitting and routing.
