Obituary: Ellen D. Mory

Ellen D. Mory, a former teacher in the Fairfax County School system, died Sept. 11, 2007 at her Fairfax County home. She was 61.

Born in 1946 in Elyria, Ohio, she was the wife of Peter C. Mory for 40 years. She was a teacher for the public school system in both Lorrain, Ohio, and Fairfax County. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mariellen Mory Combs, a son, Steven W. Mory, a son-in-law Jonathan T. Combs, and a brother-in-law, John G. Mory.

A “celebration of life” service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13, at noon at the Fairfax United Methodist Church, 10300 Stratford Ave., Fairfax, Va. A reception will be held at the church following the service. Arrangements have been made by the Money and King Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Life With Cancer, 2832 Juniper St., Suite 203, Fairfax, Va. 22031.
