Stuart Stays at One Loss After Topping Edison

The J.E.B. Stuart Raiders boys varsity tennis team maintained its one-loss season with a 6-3 win over the Edison High School Eagles. The Raiders’ next match will be at home versus the Yorktown Patriots on April 12 at 4 p.m.

Raider Boys Can’t Top ’Hawks

The Raiders boys varsity soccer team lost at tight match with the South Lakes Seahawks, 1-0, on an own goal. The Raiders return to the field on April 12 at Wakefield, 7 p.m. Meanwhile, the Raider’s girls varsity soccer team also fell to the Seahawks 0-1 for an 0-4 overall record. The Raider Girls next face Wakefield at home on April 12, 7 p.m.

 

Rockets Game Re-Scheduled

After snow wiped out the event’s earlier date, George C. Marshall’s girls basketball program will host the Harlem Rockets in a basketball game against a Marshall team of faculty and coaches on Sunday, May 6 at 2 p.m. The game will be played at Marshall in the main gym. The game will likely feature lots of dunking, as well as comedic basketball stunts. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Checks mailed to “Harlem Rockets, 7731 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA, 22043” will also work, with the tickets available on the day of the event at Will Call.

 

FCHS Jaguar 5K Upcoming

The second annual Jaguar 5K / Kids One Mile Fun Run looks on the horizon, set for Saturday May 5. The kids run at 8 a.m., and the 5K kicks off at 8:30 a.m. To register for the race, visit www.fallschurchsports.org. Questions should be sent to Jaguar5K@cox.net.
