Oscar Night America – Washington, D.C., February 25 6 p.m – 11:30 p.m.
So, who’s it gonna be, Forrest or Peter? Is “Little Miss” gonna walk over “Babel”? Will Marty finally win one? These questions and more will be answered this Sunday when the envelopes open at the Academy Awards. Chances are you don’t have a ticket to the show in Hollywood, but you can still walk down the red carpet in style. The American Red Cross of the National Capital Area along with the Academy of Motion Pictures will be presenting Oscar Night America – Washington, D.C. at the Lincoln Theatre on U Street. Complete with its own red carpet, paparazzi and screaming fans, this officially sponsored DC event will feature all the “glitz and glamour” of the real deal and even have appearances from Joan Rivers, Madonna and Angelina Jolie (impersonators). The awards will be shown on the big screen with a cocktail reception, open bar, contests, raffles and more. Remember, paparazzi will be present, so make sure you’re presentable (cocktail attire).
