Cirque du Soleil presents Coreto

Cirque du SoleilPerhaps you’ve seen them on TV and marveled at their weirdness. They’re artistic performances are intriguing, bizarre and slightly unnerving, yet you just can’t bring yourself to look away. Now, you have a chance to see them live and up close. Now through November 26, Cirque du Soleil presents Coreto. Coreto means cortege in Italian— a funeral procession or parade, and in this case, it’s a “festive parade imagined by a clown.” From the Cirque du Soleil site, Coreto is described as “bringing together the passion of the actor with the grace and power of the acrobat to plunge the audience into a theatrical world of fun, comedy and spontaneity situated in a mysterious space between heaven and earth.” Yeah, sounds just a little different from your typical Ringling Bros. three-ring production.
