Organizers Report 512 Petition Signatures To Save Anthony’s Restaurant So Far

Organizers supporting the petition drive to save Anthony’s Restaurant reported today that they’d secured 512 signatures so far in an effort that will be presented to Monday night’s Falls Church City Council meeting. Of the signers, 282 came online, and 225 in person on petitions available at Anthony’s, 309 W Broad St.

The property on which Anthony’s has sat for the last 40 years is slated for demolition early next year in advance of a planned large scale mixed use development project that will include a Harris Teeter grocery store. The petitions do not call for halting the mixed use project, but for the City to weigh in to assist in Anthony’s efforts to stay in business in Falls Church.
