Over the past year and a half, most health concerns have revolved around the Covid-19 pandemic. While this is still a concern, it is vital that other aspects of health and well-being not be pushed to the side.

After over 18 months of waiting, live theater is back at Creative Cauldron in Falls Church. The 2021-2022 season will open tonight (October 7) with “Having Our Say,” a play based on a Pulitzer Prize winning book about the Delany sisters, two centenarian African-American women. The production is being conducted in collaboration with Meridian High School.

It was the major ceremony that officials here have been working toward for more than a decade. At Homecoming Week at Meridian High School, the brand-spanking new $120 million high school facility was formally dedicated with a ribbon cutting last Saturday morning.

After a decade since the project was first proposed, the first 20 residents began moving in this Monday to the massive 4.3 acre Founders Row development project at the intersection of W. Broad and N. West Street in the City of Falls Church.

Early voting for the Virginia general election will begin on Friday, September 17th and end on Saturday, October 30th. Voters have the option to request a ballot and vote by mail or vote in person.
