Heavy Rains Fail to Halt F.C. 4th of July Readings, Fireworks

Despite heavy rains throughout the day, Falls Church City and its citizens celebrated Independence Day with readings at Falls Church’s City Hall at noon and fireworks at George Mason High School in the evening. The rain tapered off just before the City’s fireworks display was set to take place, so there was little crowd interaction as most of the event attendees gathered on the hill leading up to Mason’s new athletic field and in neighboring parking lots.
