Spring Sees F.C. Arts Programs in Bloom

With an art exhibit currently on display and another in the works at ArtSpace Falls Church, and preparations underway for its annual Plein Air Festival, Falls Church Arts has a packed schedule of spring offerings.

FCA has issued a call for entries for its upcoming art show Now and Then, accepting creative responses to the theme in all media. Artists can enter online at fallschurcharts.org, and the entry deadline is April 28.

Falls Church Arts’ current show, Enviro-Art, will be open through May 11.

FCA’s fifth annual outdoor painting event, the Plein Air Festival: Scenes in the City, opens this Saturday, April 26, and runs through June 20.

A plein air competition on June 21 will see cash prizes awarded to the top three entries. Plein air workshops will be held every Saturday in May and will be led by local artists such as Bill Abel and Rajendra KC.

ArtSpace Falls Church is located at 410 S. Maple Ave. For more information, visit fallschurcharts.org or email info@fallschurcharts.org.
