NoVa Jewish Film Fest to Bring 11 Movies to Angelika

The Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia will host its 14th annual Northern Virginia Jewish Film Festival next month at Mosaic District’s Angelika Film Center and Café.

Eleven contemporary Jewish-themed and/or Israeli-made feature films will be featured. Opening night is March 20 at the JCCNV and includes a dinner and program with the documentary “When Comedy Went to School.”

From March 22 –30, Angelika Film Center and Café will screen the films “Aftermath,” “Dancing in Jaffa,” “The German Doctor,” “Igor and the Cranes’ Journey,”“The Jewish Cardinal,” “Quality Balls: The David Steinberg Story,” “Süskind,” “Two Sided Story,” “Under the Same Sun” and “The Zigzag Kid.”

Single tickets cost $12 for general admission, and $9 for students and seniors. An all-access pass (including the closing event) is $60 – $66. The opening night dinner-and-film event is $39 – $45. The closing night event is $13 – $16 and includes a dessert and coffee reception.
