City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for July 24 – 30, 2012

NOTE: This report is not a definitive list of all criminal activity and is subject to change upon investigation.

Public Drunkenness, 300 block Park Ave. On July 24, a male, 28, of Falls Church, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Burglary, 412 W. Broad St. (NOVA Firearms) On July 25 at 2:26 a.m., officers responding to an alarm found a broken glass door pane. The business reported several handguns were stolen by unknown suspect(s). The investigation is ongoing.

Unlawful Entry, 200 block Buxton Rd. On July 26 at 6:35 p.m., two teenage males were in the residence when the victim entered the house. There was no forced entry as the known suspects had access to the house.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 300 block S. Washington St. On July 27, an officer on bicycle conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 37, of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Driving Under the Influence and Fleeing Scene of an Accident, 100 block W. Broad St. On July 27, an officer on bicycle observed a driver hit a parked car and flee the area. The officer conducted a traffic stop for the violation. The driver, a male, 39, of Alexandria, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Fleeing Scene of an Accident.

Indecent Exposure, 134 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On July 27, an unknown suspect exposed himself in the rear of the store.

Assault and Battery, 220 N. Washington St. (State Theater) On July 29, a male, 31, of Centreville, was arrested for Assault and Battery.

Narcotics Violation, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On July 28, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver and passengers, a male, 19, of Arlington; a male, 19, of Arlington; and a male, 20, of Arlington, were arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 900 block W. Broad St. On July 28, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 23, of Arlington, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

Destruction of Property, 134 W. Broad St. (CVS Pharmacy) On July 28, a man entered the store opening packages of over-the-counter medication, rendering the products void for sale. The man left the store after being noticed by an employee. No items were taken. A male, 22, of Fairfax, was arrested and released on summons for Destruction of Property.

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, 100 block S. Maple Ave. On July 30, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. A 16 year-old juvenile male was arrested for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle.

Larceny from Vehicle and Destruction of Property, 200 Hillwood Ave. (Richard’s Heating and Cooling) On July 30, the business reported a few vehicles from its fleet had shattered windows and cans of Freon stolen sometime between July 28 and July 30.

Larceny of Vehicle Parts, 624 S. Washington St. (Crown Auto Group) On July 30, an unknown suspect(s) stole a side mirror from a parked vehicle sometime overnight.
