This “Jam” comes a little early, but it’s for the sake of getting registered and preparing for the event. Just in time to welcome in the warm weather, next weekend BR Frozen Custard & Sweets will host the National Frozen Custard Eating Championship at their store in Woodbridge. Not only can you witness the inhaling of countless cups of frozen custard, you also have a chance to participate in the gluttony. There will be a Pro, Amateur and Kids division, each offering prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Pros will be competing for the grand prize of $250 and the title of “National Frozen Custard Eating Champ,” while amateurs can win $50, $25 and $10 and kids can walk away with BR gift certificates. Registration is limited to the first 20 people in both the pro and amateur division and 10 for the kids, so get online and fill out those forms now.
