Goodwin House Features Art Exhibit Print E-mail

The Goodwin House Bailey’s Crossroads (GHBC) (3440 S. Jefferson St., Falls Church) is featuring an exhibition of art collages by DJ Gaskin. The artwork will be on view from Wednesday, Aug. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 10 in Gallery West of GHBS, it was announced this week.

Gaskin’s exhibit, “A Passion for Paper,” showcases different materials to use in a collage. She experiments with paint, paper, twigs and more. Gaskin has previously exhibited at various venues in New York, Oregon and Virginia.

An Artist Talk and Opening Reception will be held on Sunday, Aug. 29 from 4 – 6 p.m., in the Formal Parlor of GHBC.

Gaskin will also teach an Expressive Poetry and Journal Workshop in the Art Center of GHBC on two successive Saturdays, Sept. 25 and Oct. 2, from 9:30 a.m. – noon. The fee is $45 for two sessions. All materials will be provided.
