Local Businessmen Help Out Kids' Groups With Mulch Sales

Two prominent local business leaders are promoting the sale of mulch to raise funds for local children's groups. Phil Duncan of Civicatalyst Communications is assisting the George Mason High School Athletic Boosters with their mulch sale while Dr. Gordon Theisz of Family Medicine in Falls Church is helping Boy Scout Troop 895, chartered by the Falls Church Presbyterian Church, with theirs.

Dominion Hospital Opens Eating Disorder Treatment Center

Dominion Hospital has opened Reflections, an eating disorder treatment center to help adolescents and adults overcome anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. The center will provide 24-hour care within its eight bed impatient unit as well as partial hospitalizations up to 11 hours per day, seven days a week. It is the first program in the Washington Metropolitan region to offer patients inpatient, partial hospitalization and access to outpatient care. Dominion Hospital, located at 2960 Sleepy Hollow Rd. in Falls Church, is a 100-bed hospital dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders. Bailey's Crossroads PNC Bank Grand Opening

PNC Bank is hosting a grand opening event for its new Bailey's Crossroads branch from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Saturday, March 20. The event will include a variety of family friendly activities including free lunch, a magician, face painter, and caricaturist, a planting station, a fantasy salon, a moon bounce, and, from noon - 2 p.m., a live remote from Hot 99.5. F.C. Education Fundraiser Hosted by Pancake House

Falls Church's Original Pancake House is hosting its annual fundraiser for the Falls Church Education Foundation on Thursday, March 25 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. A portion of the restaurant's proceed throughout the day will be contributed to the Foundation. City Hosting Seminar on Franchise Ownership

The City of Falls Church Economic Development Office is hosting "Franchise Express," a free half-day seminar of owning a franchise and minimizing the risk of entrepreneurship during a down economy. The event will take place in the Falls Church Community Center at 223 Little Falls Street on Tuesday, March 23 from 8:30 a.m. - noon. Sessions will be presented by the Virginia Department of Business Assistance, FranNet of Virginia, M&T Bank, Nixon Peabody and the Fairfax Small Business Development Center.
