Church-Sponsored Tax Prep Assistance Available

The Falls Church Anglican Church is sponsoring "Walk-in" Tax Filing preparation assistance by IRS certified volunteers from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturdays February 20 through April 11.

Walk in to the Suite 400 at 370 South Washington Street (enter from Maple Avenue diagonal across from Bowl America).  Anyone in need of Tax Filing assistance who earns annual income less than $49,000, is invited to The Falls Church Tax Help Program at 370 South Washington Street Suite 400. F.C. Veterans Council Host Chamber Mixer Next Week

The Greater Falls Church Veterans Council is hosting the Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce's February Networking Mixer on Tuesday, February 23 from 5:30-7pm. Open Kitchen Holding Haiti Fundraiser in March

Open Kitchen is hosting an evening of tropical cuisine and island entertainment to raise funds for Haiti on March 9 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $50. All proceeds will benefit Haiti relief efforts. Open Kitchen, located at 7115 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church, offers a variety of culinary opportunities and includes a Bistro, chef's time share kitchens, catering and special events. F.C. Restaurants Join Together for 'Dining Out for Life'

Falls Church restaurants Argia's, Bubba's BBQ, Clare & Don's Beach Shack and Open Kitchen are participating in Dining Out for Life on Thursday, March 11. On that day, 150 restaurants in the Washington metropolitan area will join together to support men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses by contributing a percentage of their sales to Food & Friends  Food & Friends is the only nonprofit organization in the Washington area providing daily, home-delivered, specialized meals, groceries and nutrition counseling to individuals in the community who are facing some of life's most difficult challenges. The funds raised through Dining Out for Life allows Food & Friends to continue to provide these critical services at no cost to the clients. For more information visit www.diningforlife.com.

 

CrossLink's Band-Aid Ball Set for April

CrossLink International's Annual Band-Aid Ball will be held Sat. April 10 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. CrossLink, which is based in Falls Church, is a non-profit, Christian ministry that provides medical humanitarian aid. They equip medical mission teams, local free clinics and mission hospitals with customized orders of medicines, supplies and eyeglasses.
