Church Holds Hunger Benefit Concert
FLIPPIN’ PIZZA HOSTED ITS GRAND OPENING and official ribbon cutting last Saturday. Located on 800 W. Broad St. in Falls Church, the New York-style pizzeria treated attendees to free pizza and grand-opening cake. F.C. Megan Kamide of Alexandria graduated from Roger Williams University with a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology. Lawrence Jefferson of Arlington, Travis Tyrone Rogers and Amanda Baldwin of Alexandria recently graduated from the Excelsior College with various degrees. Aimee Johnson of Falls Church, Kirsten Cochran and Ritsuko Schiff of Alexandria recently graduated from Kaplan University with various degrees. Jaime Bosserman of Alexandria was named to the dean’s list at University of Findlay for having achieved a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 for the spring 2009 semester. Melanie Dasbach of Falls Church was named to the dean’s list at Frostburg State University for achieving a GPA of at least 3.4 for the spring 2009 semester. Thomas Hunt of Arlington, Elaina Daoulas and Alexi Von Guggenberg of Alexandria were named to the dean’s list at the Berklee College of Music for having achieved a GPA of at least 3.4 for the spring 2009 semester. Victoria Hodson of Arlington was named to the dean’s list at Saint Joseph’s University for having achieved a GPA of at least 3.5 for the spring 2009 semester. Chase Charwat and Peter Ward of Falls Church were named to the dean’s list at Binghamton University for having achieved a GPA of at least a 3.5 for the spring 2009 semester. Pinthip Huynh of Falls Church was awarded with the Joseph Allen Art Prize by the Northfield Mount Hermon School for the 2008-2009 school year.
