Falls Church-based Compassion for Animals will conduct a guided tour of Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary, near Poolesville, Maryland, from 1 - 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23. Poplar Spring is a 400-acreproperty which provides a permanent home for abused, abandoned, and neglected farm animals. Those taking part in the tour can see cows, pigs, horses, chickens, goats, sheep and turkeys of all ages. The tour is family-friendly and wheelchair-accessible. Carpooling options are available.
