Columbinus
Conceived and Directed by
P.J. Paparelli
Round House Theatre in Silver Spring Now through April 3

This play about the events of April 20,.1999 when Columbine High School was shot up by two students, is a stark and gripping commentary about the underbelly of teen life in America and the role of bullying and taunting, in particular. P.J. Paparelli comes off his direction of Romeo and Juliet at the Folger Theatre with this work, a United States Theatre Project. "Columbinus will send you home with a new understanding of the pressure, pain and persecution felt so deeply in so many teen lives today," the on-line promo reads. There are two Round House Theatres and this one is in Silver Spring. It is advised that patrons under age 18 be accompanied by an adult. Check www.round-house.org for more info and tickets.
