Crime Report Ending February 14th


  • Recovered Stolen Vehicle, 100 blk. Hillwood Ave., Feb. 8, 2:38 p.m., a parking control officer was citing a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer for an expired inspection when it was discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from Fairfax County on September 25, 2004.
  • Disorderly Conduct, George Mason High School, 7124 Leesburg Pike, Feb. 9, 10:10 a.m., a staff member observed three male students throw another male student to the ground and start kicking him. The students stated that they were just playing and that nothing had happened. The students were all suspended, including the victim
  • Destruction of Property, 200 blk. N. Maple Ave., Feb. 9, 5:55 p.m., unknown person(s) took what appeared to be a yellow crayon and scribbled on a 1997 Lincoln Continental in several places.
  • Larceny from a Building, Kaiser Permanente, 201 N. Washington St., between Feb. 10, 4:30 p.m. and Feb. 11, 9:49 a.m., unknown person(s) took a CD player/clock radio from a workstation on the 2nd floor.
  • Larceny, Giant Food, 1230 W. Broad St., Feb. 12, 3:30 p.m., the victim was approached by another woman who asked her about an extension cord. It was later discovered that the victim's wallet had been taken from her purse while the woman had distracted her.
  • Peeping Tom, 900 blk. Ellison St., Feb. 12, 2:00 a.m., a woman who had fallen asleep on her couch woke up to find a male subject looking into her living room window. The victim's blinds were drawn but the male subject could still see inside. The only description was that the male was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
  • Larceny from a Building, Columbia Baptist Church, 103 W. Columbia St., Feb. 6, (unknown time), unknown person(s) removed $50.00 cash from the purse of a woman who was attending church there.
  • Arson, 100 blk. Gordon Rd., Feb. 14, 12:43 a.m., unknown person(s) started a fire in one of the recycling dumpsters. The fire department was able to put the fire out before it caused any serious damage.
  • Larceny from a Vehicle, 300 blk. W. Rosemary Lane, between Feb. 12, 4:00 p.m. and Feb. 14, 9:47 a.m., unknown person(s) entered a 2004 Nissan by unknown means and removed a video recorder, a purse with cash and credit cards and some kids toys.
