Gregg Allman

The State Theatre

220 N. Washington St., Falls Church

Sunday, Jan. 30

Doors Open 8 p.m.

OK, so it's sold out. But you know how to pull some strings, right? This may be the biggest name yet to show up at Falls Church's own State Theatre in the midst of a new solo tour that began at B.B. King's in Manhattan this week and wind through the end of February before Gregg joins the Allman Brothers Band for another amazing week of shows at New York's Beacon Theatre March 10-19.

Other members of the Allman Brothers have appeared solo at the State in the past, including young phenom Derek Trucks and classic era band members Warren Haynes and Dickey Betts, and Betts will be back with another performance there March 3. But Gregg Allman is the legend, and still at his peak.

The good news if you can get in Sunday? It's that the State is rapidly becoming the premiere venue of its size in the D.C. area for the very best talent rolling through.
