Tsunami Relief Fund Day

George Mason High School

7124 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church

All day, Saturday, Jan. 15

It's always a delight to witness idealistic young people motivated by a good cause. That's a big part of what makes showing up at George Mason High this Saturday worth it. First and foremost, of course, is the dollars these youngsters will hope to extract from your wallet to help in the Tsunami Relief effort. But they'll make it worth your while by entertaining you in a variety of ways.

The rundown of activities is publicized in more than one place in this edition. They go from 10 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., just shy of a 12-hour day, and you can bet that a number of young folk and their parents and faculty advisers will be there probably almost the entire time. How can you pass it up?

A silent auction, white elephant sale and craft show run from 10 a.m.to 2 p.m., a Battle of the Bands from 2:30 to 5 p.m., an upscale reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and a benefit talent show in the auditorium from 7:45 p.m. on.
