Crime Report Ending January 10


  • Fraud by Impersonation, 500 blk. Greenwich St., Jan. 4, 8:24 p.m., unknown person(s) used a resident's credit card to make over $4,000 worth of purchases online.
  • Suspicious Event, 500 blk. S. West St., Jan. 5, 4:52 p.m., a resident observed a white sport utility vehicle stop on the roadway on S. West St. and watched a male subject, in his forties, get out of the vehicle and grab a juvenile female, approximately 15 years of age, and place her in the vehicle. A female in her forties was in the passenger seat during this event. Police searched the area with negative results in locating the vehicle. No reports of a missing juvenile female were made to the police department or surrounding area jurisdictions. It its possible that this was a father/daughter conflict.
  • Assault, 1203 North Haberbrook Dr., January 1, 2004, 1:35 a.m. A irregularly sized duck was found unconscious, with visible wounds on its body. The wounds seemed to have stemmed from possible indian burns and dutch rubs. Police have no suspects.
  • Destruction of Property, Crossman United Methodist Church, 384 N. Washington St., between Dec. 1, 2004, 1201: a.m. and Jan. 7, 11:05 a.m., unknown person(s) switched out a computer monitor in one classroom and cut three wires off a computer in another classroom.
  • Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, Koons Ford, 1051 W. Broad St., between Jan. 7, 7:30 a.m. and Jan. 10, 1:12 p.m., unknown person(s) removed the front license plate off of a 1994 Ford Mustang, which belongs to an employee.
  • Larceny, Shoplifting, CVS, 1150 W. Broad St., Jan. 10, 2:34 p.m., a male subject entered the store and stole 6 packs of disposable razors.
  • Larceny, Giant Food, 1230 W. Broad St., 2:40 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a wallet out of a woman's' purse while she was shopping at Giant. Shortly after, her credit cards were used in the City of Falls Church and Fairfax County.
