Watson Moves on to Florida Post

Larry Watson, Business Services Manager in the Economic Development Office in the City of Falls Church, has accepted a position as Community Relations Manager with Progress Energy of Florida in Tallahassee. Watson will depart his Falls Church post today, Jan. 6.

Watson was the first hire by Falls Church City Manager Dan McKeever to rebuild the City's Economic Development staff following a spate of departures and immediately assisted McKeever in stabilizing the department and in outreach to the local business community. He focused on retention of and services to existing City business whereas Larry Goff, subsequently hired as the department chief, has focused on new business development.
