Crime Report Ending January 3


  • Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, 100 blk. Birch St., between Dec. 20, 11:45 p.m. and Dec. 21, 4:42 a.m., unknown person(s) smashed out the driver's side window on a 2001 Toyota Echo. Once inside, a AM/FM CD radio was taken out of the dashboard.
  • Destruction of Property, 400 blk. Sherrow Ave., Dec. 22, 2:10 a.m., a resident woke up to the sound of laughter (kids) and noise. The resident discovered that unknown person(s) had damaged the driver's door mirror of a 2003 Honda, which was parked on the street.
  • Assault, Aggravated, Eden Center, 6755 Wilson Blvd., Dec. 22, between 8:17 p.m. and 8:23 p.m., unknown person(s) came up behind a man and hit him in the head with a bottle of beer.
  • Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, Koons Ford, 1051 E. Broad St., unknown person(s) stole the inspection sticker out of a 2004 Ford F150 pickup truck that was parked on the lot.
  • Assault, Simple, parking lot behind 116 W. Broad St., Dec. 28, 5:43 a.m., a homeless man was awakened to someone hitting him and kicking him. Police arrested a male, 47, of Annandale, Va. for the assault.
  • Destruction of Property, United Imports LLC, 201 Hillwood Ave, between Dec. 27, 6:00 p.m. and Dec. 28, 9:08 a.m., unknown person(s) broke a window on the south side of the building and dumped a container of recycled motor oil inside and outside the business.
  • Larceny, 1000 blk. Kennedy St., between Dec. 27, 12:00 p.m. and Dec. 28, 9:33 a.m., unknown person(s) removed scaffolding from the rear of a residence where the contractor was doing siding work.
  • Larceny from a Motor Vehicle, rear parking lot of 134 W. Jefferson St., between Dec. 28, 5:30 p.m. and Dec. 29, 2:17 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a snow plow off of one of the victims work trucks.
  • Robbery, Armed, Domino's Pizza, 1106 W. Broad St., Dec. 30, between 9:15 a.m. and 10:09 a.m., three masked male subjects entered an unlocked rear door and confronted a male employee and tied him up in a back room. One of the males had a silver handgun and another had a screwdriver. They asked the employee for all the money. The employee had $500.00 in his wallet, which was the only money the robbers took. The female manager arrived around 10:00 a.m. and was greeted by the man with the gun who told her to get down on her knees and then tied her up. The manager told the robbers that other employees would be arriving soon and the three men fled the store. The manager was able to free herself and call police.
  • Larceny, Tower Square parking lot, 100 blk. Hillwood Ave., Dec. 31, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:05 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a Peugeot men's bicycle that was parked next to his business.
  • Assault, State Theater (Outside), 220 N. Washington St., Jan 1, 2:07 a.m., a man was assaulted outside the State Theater by another man after they got into an altercation over the victim speaking to the suspects wife.
  • Destruction of Property, 300 blk. N. Maple Ave., between Dec. 31, 3:00 p.m. and Jan. 3, 10:35 a.m., unknown persons spray painted the left front tire rim and the rear license plate of a 2000 Acura.
