Jody's Jam of the Week
By Jody Fellows
Only two more days left in 2004 and, like always, it’s about time to party hearty and welcome in the New Year. With so many activities around, it’s hard to decide what to do. In year’s past, I’ve done house parties, big gala bashes at hotels downtown, bar hopping in Georgetown and more. This year, however, I’m switching it up and, believe it or not, staying in Falls Church to ring in 2005. FC’s nightlife, especially during this time of the year, is not to be overlooked. Popular spots the 4 P’s and Bangkok Blues are both offering New Year festivities and are certain to attract their share of past and present Falls Churchers. Broad Street Grill will no doubt be hopping as well featuring bartending favorites Tammy Powell and Jamie Levitt. Always a spot to run into Mason High alumni, the BSG will take up most of my celebrating time. And if the bar scene isn’t your thing, FC’s 7th Annual Watch Night will be in full effect at the corner of S. Washington and Broad Streets. And whatever you choose, remember to pace yourself— no passing out before the ball drops.
When: December 31st
Where: Bangkok Blues, Ireland’s Four Provinces,
