MatzoBall 2004 at

Lulu's, 1217 22nd St. (at M), Washington, D.C.,

Friday, Dec. 24, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m..

OK, so not everyone is at home, tucked in their beds with dreams of sugar plums in their heads on Christmas Eve. For the many who have to brave such times, instead of steep themselves in them, here comes the 17th annual MatzoBall, which has become an enormously popular event, drawing thousands of mostly young professionals. You can be included. Lots of dancing, drink specials and holiday cheer. Tickets are $25 at the door and partial proceeds go to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Want to stay closer to home? Falls Church Bangkok Blues Cafe at 930 W. Broad will also be open, and on Christmas Day as well.
