"Carousel"

The Olney Theatre

Olney, Maryland

Now through Dec. 31.

This tuneful Rodgers and Hammerstein classic has brought smiles to audiences for decades and is now reprising in the intimate confines of this outstanding theatre. Among the tunes you'll be humming for weeks afterwards are "If I Loved You," "Love is Busting Out All Over" and "You'll Never Walk Alone." With a role in the cast is Falls Church's own Miles Butler. Tickets can be ordered on line or on the phone from Ticketmaster, or from the Olney ticket office at (301) 924-3400. It's about a 40 minute drive to get there, but well worth it. Go north off the Beltway on Connecticut for eight miles, west on George Ave. for five miles and north on Route 108 for a mile and a half. There are matinees almost every day.
