Jody's Jam of the Week
Christmas Dinner Cooking Class
By Jody Fellows
Tis the season and that means friends, family, shopping, good tidings and cheer, blah, blah, blah, blah. I mean what the hell are tidings anyway? Not like stuff ain’t good and all, but what really excites me about the holidays is the food. Oh, the food. I load up on as much ham, dressing, corn, potatoes, egg nog and whatever else is cooked up ‘round this time as I can. But, there in lies the problem. I eat what other people make. I can’t cook. Yeah, I can pop open the microwave and hit start but what if I feel like a real Christmas dinner? I don’t want to wait for Hot Pocket to come out with a mincemeat and gingerbread version. Lucky for me, this Tuesday from 7 to 10 p.m., one of DC’s “greatest” chefs will be teaching a hands-on cooking class in Arlington. They promise to teach everything you need know in order to produce a fabulous holiday feast. Class size is limited, so sign up early and then show off your newly honed skills to your friends and family. And if anyone knows what tidings are, please let me know.
When: Tuesday, December 21st - 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. Cost: $50
Where: Arlington, VA (exact location will be emailed after registering)
