F.C. Beefs Up Parking Enforcement

The City of Falls Church announced this week that starting Wednesday, Dec. 1, parking violations in the city will be "more strictly enforced." A parking enforcement officer was recently hired and has just completed training, according to a City Hall statement.

"Residents who live on city streets that require residential parking permits must display their residential parking permit in all vehicles parked on city streets. In addition, enforcement of two-hour and other time-restricted zones throughout the city will also be enforced more strictly," the City statement indicated. Fines for failing to display a residential parking permit are $50. Permits can be obtained from the Falls Church Police Department at City Hall, 300 Park Avenue. Residents in parking-restricted zones can also obtain two free visitor permits per household.
