Jody's Jam of the Week

By Jody Fellows

When: Saturday, November 20, 2004. 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Where: Wyndham Washington, D.C. Hotel, 1400 Street, NW, Washington, DC

$45 entry fee

I joined a 'Wine of the Month' club a few years back in hopes of learning about the subtle differences between wine styles and varietals. It's been trhee years and the only thing I've learned is the difference between red and whites (it's the color) and that if I drink enough of either i get drunk. That's why this Saturday I'm diving head first into a wine tasting extravaganza that is the 15th Annual Holiday Win Expo at the Wyndham Washington, D.C. Hotel. Featuring over 150 wines to taste and purchase (bottles cost anywhere from $5 - $150), I hope to finally learn if Cabernet goes with a T-bone, a chardonnay with some brie, or if a Pinot Grigio goes with salmon. And if that all fails, at least I know I'll get drunk.
